Nos dedicamos exclusivamente a la fabricación, venta y distribución de embalajes de seguridad a prueba de manipulaciones. ¡Así es! Durante más de 35 años, nuestro singular enfoque nos ha permitido desarrollar algunas de las marcas de seguridad más confiables y utilizadas en todo el mundo por bancos, empresas de traslados de valores (Cash-in-transit, CIT), negocios minoristas y muchas otras industrias.

Nuestra historia

Abril de 1984

MARNEL Packaging nace en nuestra planta original de 750 m² (8000pies) e inicialmente se dedica a la comercialización de bolsas de compras de plástico de alta gama en la industria minorista.

Mayo de 1987

MARNEL se muda a una nueva instalación de 3250 m² (35 000 ft2) y se convierte en NELMAR Security Packaging Systems: un fabricante dedicado al desarrollo, la fabricación y la comercialización de un nuevo estilo de bolsa de plástico de seguridad para depósitos (como una alternativa a la bolsa de tela tradicional para depósito que se utilizaba en esa época).

Julio de 1997

Tras superar su impronta original de fábrica, NELMAR se muda a una nueva instalación de 7000 m² (75 000 ft2) en Ferrier Street, Montreal, lo que le permite ampliar sus operaciones de impresión y conversión.

Marzo de 2001

NELMAR lanza la primera generación de la bolsa de seguridad FRAUDSTOPPER™ de clase mundial. Esta presenta un cierre lineal totalmente a prueba de manipulaciones, es fácil de sellar y reacciona a todos los efectos de la manipulación del frío y el calor.

Diciembre de 2003

La familia NELMAR está compuesta por más 100 empleados en la oficina y en la fábrica, y se destaca por el continuo incremento de clientes y de demanda dentro de las industrias minorista y financiera.

Octubre de 2006

NELMAR lanza una iniciativa para diseñar y construir una nueva fábrica de 14 000 m² (150 000 ft2) para cumplir con todos los requisitos de producción inmediatos y futuros, incluidas las líneas de extrusión de película soplada. Todas las operaciones y sedes se trasladan a Terrebonne, Quebec.

Enero de 2007

NELMAR presenta un nuevo departamento de extrusión de última generación, que finalmente le brinda la posibilidad de ofrecer a sus clientes la mejor película de 3 capas de la industria.

Octubre de 2013

NELMAR lanza al mercado la innovadora bolsa de seguridad FRAUDSTOPPER ONE™, que ofrece la máxima seguridad de “Nivel 4” a los nuevos segmentos de clientes.

Julio de 2014

NELMAR aumenta la capacidad de producción con una ampliación de 4600 m² (50 000 ft2)en su fábrica y de esta manera aumenta la capacidad tanto de las operaciones de fabricación de bolsas como de almacenamiento.

Marzo de 2019

NELMAR presenta el nuevo departamento de Laminación y Cinta con la compra de nuevas maquinarias de laminación, recubrimiento y bobinado de clase mundial. Estas incorporaciones le permiten producir su propia cinta de seguridad y controlar el 100 % del proceso de fabricación.

Enero de 2020

NELMAR aumenta la capacidad de producción por más de 280 millones de bolsas de seguridad por año, tras completar la última ronda de inversión, en la que incorporó tres máquinas de conversión de película totalmente robóticas a su flota existente.

Gracias a nuestro proceso verticalmente integrado controlamos cada aspecto de nuestras operaciones, lo que nos permite garantizar productos y servicios de la más alta calidad.

Nuestro compromiso

Reciclar productos NELMAR no podría ser más fácil. Todos los productos están hechos de material 100 % reciclable de categoría 4, para promover un proceso de reciclaje sencillo.

También estamos comprometidos con la iniciativa Go-Green de NELMAR, ya que continuamos invirtiendo en nuevas tecnologías para desarrollar procesos de fabricación sostenibles y productos ecológicos para nuestros clientes.

  • Nuestras instalaciones incorporan equipos de eficiencia energética.
  • Toda la información de las etiquetas del embalaje se imprime directamente en las cajas, para eliminar por completo las etiquetas de papel.

  • Brian May Presidente

    Brian May
    Presidente

    Bryan May es el presidente de NELMAR, responsable de la operación administrativa de la compañía, desarrollando una estrategia de crecimiento, rentabilidad e ingresos; todo lo anterior mientras trabaja en mejorar y garantizar la satisfacción de la red de clientes de NELMAR.

    El liderazgo con enfoque colaborativo de Brian ha ayudado a reforzar el ambiente de trabajo en equipo, donde la comunicación es fundamental y cada empleado es empoderado para contribuir con el éxito continuo de NELMAR, a fin de posicionar la compañía como una autoridad mundial y líder en la industria de empaques de seguridad a prueba de manipulaciones.

    Brian cuenta con una experiencia de mas de 28 años en la industria de empaques, lo cual le ha permitido consolidar amplios conocimientos y habilidades en administración, desarrollo de negocios, ventas y marketing. Él se incorporo a NELMAR tras haberse desempeñado como gerente administrativo de Tetra Pak (Malasia, Singapur y Filipinas), una empresa líder en la producción de empaques para alimentos, donde se encargaba de la gerencia administrativa de las operaciones cotidianas de la empresa.  Brian comenzó su carrera en la industria de empaques trabajando para Tetra Pak en 1993, desempeñándose exitosamente en sus sedes de Suiza, Arabia Saudita, Japón Noreste de Asia y Estados Unidos.

    En su vida personal, Brian le encanta pasar tiempo de calidad en familia, en especial disfruta viajar a su casa en el lago que se encuentra localizada en el Norte de Ontario. Igualmente, es un apasionado del Hockey, golf y de los proyectos de mejoras y renovación de su hogar.

    Brian ostenta un MBA de Richard Ivey School of Business en the University of Western Ontario, igualmente cuenta con un título universitario en ingeniería civil de la Queen’s University.

  • Kevin Couto Director, Producción

    Kevin Couto
    Director, Producción

    Kevin Couto is NELMAR’s Director of Production Operations. He leads the company’s vertically-integrated production process, serving as the liaison between departments and overseeing all logistics from Extrusion and Lamination to Printing and Conversion.

    Kevin prides himself on maintain a strong pulse on the production process at all times. He works closely with senior management in setting operational goals and provides day-to-day guidance to the production managers and their teams to ensure that objectives are consistently reached.

    Since joining NELMAR in 2006, Kevin has served as an Account Manager, Inventory Coordinator, Procurement Specialist, and Assistant Production Manager before being tasked with managing all production-related operations. Under his current position, he has played an important role in several key initiatives, including the implementation of fully-robotic converting machinery, the launch of the Lamination department, and the development of RFID tracking capabilities.

    Kevin also serves as the Director of Production Operations for Plastixx FFS Technologies Inc. and Plastixx Extrusion Technologies Inc – each part of the NELMAR Group of Companieswhere he is responsible for operations and production logistics.

    Outside of work, Kevin values family time, is a passionate home chef, and has an unwavering sports allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys.

  • Manoj Dixit Director, Operaciones de extrusión

    Manoj Dixit
    Director, Operaciones de extrusión

    Manoj Dixit is NELMAR’s Director of Extrusion Operations. He leads the company’s ever-growing Extrusion department and is responsible for the development of all blown film rolls used in its products.

    Manoj takes pride in consistently producing the finest 3-layer film in the security packaging industry, ensuring that resin quality, film blends, and gauge and profile variations are each taken into careful consideration. He joined NELMAR in 2006 and was initially tasked with forming and launching its new state-of-the-art Extrusion department. Since then, he has played a critical role in steadily increasing the company’s film capacity and the size of its Extrusion team.

    Manoj also serves as the Director of Extrusion Operations for Plastixx FFS Technologies Inc. and Plastixx Extrusion Technologies Inc – both part of the NELMAR Group of Companies. Prior to joining NELMAR, he worked as a polymer engineer based in Malaysia.

    Outside of work, Manoj is a regular volunteer at his temple and is actively involved with Montreal’s Indian community. He enjoys traveling, swimming, chess, badminton, and spending as much time as possible with his family.

    Manoj has a Bachelor of Science degree and a post-graduate diploma in Polymer Engineering.

  • Jonathan Vitale Director, Operaciones de impresión

    Jonathan Vitale
    Director, Operaciones de impresión

    Jonathan Vitale joined NELMAR in 2015 to manage the company’s evolving printing department. As the Director of Printing Operations, Jonathan is in charge of operating NELMAR’s state-of-the-art printing presses, and managing the printing procedures with a focus on maximizing productivity while meeting the highest standards of quality. Under his leadership, the department has increased production efficiency through the implementation of a new ink system, reduced scrap rates, and lower change-over time in between projects.

    Jonathan has worked in the flexible packaging and printing industry for over 20 years. He takes pride in sharing his experience with all employees and equipping them with a versatile set of skills to master the company’s processes.

    Outside of the office, Jonathan loves to cook, fish, and play sports. He spends much of his time with his family and has passed on his passion for cooking and sports to his two children.

  • Michael Nissen Director, Conversión de bolsas

    Director, Conversión de bolsas

    Michael Nissen is NELMAR’s Director of Bag Conversion. He oversees all bag-making operations, tasked with optimizing production speed, maintaining stringent quality control measures, and consistently guiding his team to master the conversion process.

    Michael joined NELMAR in 2001 and has served as a Maintenance Technician, Assistant Production Manager, and Production Manager before being elevated to run the Conversion department. He continues to oversee the implementation of NELMAR’s growing fleet of fully-robotic converting machinery and has played a key role in helping the company increase its annual security bag output by more than 50%.

    With over 20 years of mechanical engineering experience, Michael takes pride in sharing his knowledge with all employees and empowering many of his team members to advance up the ranks within NELMAR.

    Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending quality time with family and is equally as passionate about outdoor activities, including biking and running.

  • Carol-Ann Daoust Directora, RR. HH. y Desarrollo Organizacional

    Carol-Ann Daoust is NELMAR’s Director of Human Resources and Development. She is responsible for company recruiting, health and safety, talent development, employee relations, and many other functions within the company.

    Carol-Ann joined NELMAR as a Human Resources Advisor in 2010. Since then, she has been elevated to department head and has helped the company double in size from 120 to 200 employees (and counting) under her direction. In ten years, Carol-Ann has evolved the HR department from an administrative role into a strategic partner with valued input in key company decisions. She ensures that HR is aligned with all operations and that all department efforts are made with NELMAR’s strategy and vision in mind.

    Carol-Ann’s favorite part about working at NELMAR is the family-like environment. She is proud to play a role in fostering this cohesive culture and seeing it manifest itself in the collaboration and leadership that’s displayed by employees on a day-to-day basis.

    Outside of work, Carol-Ann is a self-proclaimed “foodie” and enjoys travelling and discovering the cultures and new foods that come with it.

    Carol-Ann is a CHRP and graduated from Université du Québec à Montréal with a bachelor in Human Resources Management.

  • Eric Dohrendorf Director, Desarrollo de Producto y Mercado

    Director, Desarrollo de Producto y Mercado

    Eric Dohrendorf is NELMAR’s Director of Product & Market Development. He is primarily responsible for product and business development, consulting closely with NELMAR’s customers across the world to develop powerful security products that satisfy their distinct needs. When customers think of Eric, one word always comes to mind: PASSION. His passion for NELMAR’s products — and for the people that use them — enable him to provide an unparalleled customer experience.

    Eric has played a crucial role in the development of NELMAR’s current product line. With over 24 years of experience in the tamper-evident security packaging industry, he has worked alongside some of the largest banks and armored carriers, managing countless NELMAR accounts across 25 countries. Eric uses this deep consumer knowledge to understand what product specifications his customers actually require, rather than providing them with a generic solution.

    Outside of work, Eric enjoys travelling internationally with his wife and daughter, while putting his multiple language skills to use. Eric is also an avid cyclist and home design/architecture enthusiast. Some of his home improvement projects have even been published in industry-specific magazines.

    Eric holds a Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in International Business from Concordia University.

  • Annie Martin Director, Finance

    Annie Martin
    Director, Finance

    Annie Martin is NELMAR’s Director of Finance. She is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all the financial activities of the company. This includes leading the risk management and accounting operations and ensuring that best practices are followed in maintaining a strong capital structure.

    Annie takes pride in the strategic aspect of her role, which allows her to anticipate financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and work closely with the Operations team to help them better understand the impact of their day-to-day role on financial figures.

    Prior to joining NELMAR, Annie brings 14 years of financial accounting experience from L’Oréal Canada, where she most recently served as its Director of Finance. At L’Oréal, she was in charge of all accounting related tasks, including managing capital expansion, anticipating results, and helping to maintain competitive product pricing. Annie also previously worked as its Financial Controller and Financial Analyst, spending time both at the distribution center and manufacturing plant.

    Outside of work, Annie enjoys hiking with her dog and gardening, though she most values the time spent with her son.

    Annie is a CPA, CMA and holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from HEC Montréal.

  • Sam Pearl Director, Marketing & Communications

    Sam Pearl
    Director, Marketing & Communications

    Sam Pearl is the Director of Marketing & Communications for NELMAR. He is responsible for developing the company’s marketing campaigns, establishing a digital and social media presence, and creating NELMAR’s current brand voice and visual identity. Sam loves the challenges associated with introducing technical products to diverse audiences in a way that is both simple and engaging.

    Sam also serves as the Director of Marketing & Communications for Plastixx FFS Technologies and Balcan Plastics, both part of the Balcan Group of Companies. He was previously an Account Executive at Grey New York, leading national advertising campaigns for UPMC’s (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) Concussion and Liver Transplantation programs. He has also worked alongside other consumer brands, developing marketing strategies and industry analysis for Hasbro and Colgate.

    Outside of work, Sam is an obsessive hockey player and fan. When he’s not playing sports, he can otherwise be found binge-watching the latest hit series on Netflix.

    Sam holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

  • Emma Haralambous Director, Account Management & Customer Service

    Emma Haralambous
    Director, Account Management & Customer Service

    Emma Haralambous is NELMAR’s Director of Account Management and Customer Service. She leads a dynamic team of Salespeople, Account Managers, and Customer Service Representatives across the Account Management and Customer Service departments. Emma plays an active role in guiding the team through every customer interaction, providing dedicated assistance during the quoting, implementation and onboarding process, as well as personalized auditing and support after program launch.

    Emma’s mission is to forge and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with her customers. She began her career at NELMAR in 2012 as the company’s first Account Manager, providing dedicated one-to-one support and consultative services to some of NELMAR’s largest accounts. Over the next decade, she took pride in coaching new Account Managers and eventually adding the Customer Service department and customer inventory programs to her growing list of responsibilities.

    Outside of work, Emma values all the quality time she can spend with her two children and enjoys outdoor activities with the whole family.
