TERREBONNE, Canada – July 13, 2021 — NELMAR Security Packaging Systems announced the hiring of Brian May, who has joined the organization as President, following the retirement of company founder, Neil Freder. Within this role, May will be responsible for the company’s business operations, driving its strategic growth, profitability, and top-line revenue, all while enhancing satisfaction across NELMAR’s network of customers.

May comes to NELMAR with over 28 years of experience in the packaging industry. Most recently, he served as the Managing Director of Tetra Pak (Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines), a leading food packaging manufacturer, where he led the business operations. May blends experience in general management, business development, sales, and marketing, having held several successful roles across Tetra Pak’s global offices in Sweden, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Northeast Asia, and the United States.
May will help to maintain NELMAR’s position as a worldwide authority in the tamper-evident security packaging industry, while growing its presence in new emerging markets. His unique experience will also play a critical role in providing synergistic best practices and ideas across the Balcan group, NELMAR’s parent company. “Brian has a strong track record within our industry,” stated Balcan CEO, Dano Lister. “His wealth of knowledge, collaborative leadership approach, and proven successes will help us continue the growth trajectory of our NELMAR business unit and reach segments of customers that will be sure to profit from our lineup of security packaging products.”
