TERREBONNE, Quebec – Sept. 16, 2020 — NELMAR Security Packaging Systems announced that its newest film extrusion line has been installed and is fully operational, increasing its output by over 33 percent.
The new extruder joins a fleet of existing world-class Windmöller & Hölscher extrusion machinery at NELMAR’s 200,000 ft2 facility and enables the company to enhance its range of film properties offered to customers. By increasing extrusion speeds and unlocking an additional 10 million lbs. of capacity, NELMAR continues to boost its overall manufacturing efficiency. “Since launching our Extrusion department in 2007, we’ve continuously made efforts to raise the bar and provide our customers with the industry’s finest 3-layer film in the industry,” said President & CEO, Neil Freder. “Operating at 1,300 lbs. per hour will help us grow our output capacity and stay ahead of demand.”
