Meet our Account Manager, Flavia!
When did you start working at NELMAR and what was your initial role?
I started working at NELMAR in July 2015 as a Customer Service Representative before moving into Account Management in 2017.
Tell me about your role at the company in three sentences or fewer.
I’m a Key Account Manager, so I take care of some of our larger existing customers, making sure they are happy and that the post-production experience runs smoothly for them. I monitor inventory, answer customer inquiries, prepare quotes, and ship out orders, among other day-to-day tasks. I work closely with all of the departments in the company, including production and our art department.
NELMAR has six core values: passion, leadership, innovation, quality, customer commitment, and family. In your role, which of these values resonate the most?
I would say “passion” and “customer commitment”. I really have a passion for my job – I love it. I work for NELMAR as if it’s my own company, so I always want to do my best work and deliver for the customer. The same feelings apply to customer commitment. I think passion and customer commitment work hand-in-hand.
What three words best describe you? How do these qualities help you in your role?
I feel like I’m in an interview again! [Laughs] Three words that describe me? I have passion for my work, so passionate. It makes me want to do the best every day, not only for NELMAR, but for myself. I’m a team player. I love to work with people around me because I think that everybody brings their own unique qualities and strengths – we make a great team. Hard-working? Does that count as one? I bring it all to the table. I give my 350% everyday so that everything gets done. For customers, I give them prompt responses so they’re never waiting. For me, everything is done to a T and that’s the way I like it.
Outside of work, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I’m a mom. For me, family is very important, so I spend time with family. My husband, my son and I, when we’re home, we spend quality time together. We also see our parents often. Family is at the top of the list for me!
Tell us something about yourself that your coworkers might be surprised to learn.
I’m an open book, so what you see is kind of what you get. If I’m not having a good day, you’ll see it on my face, but that’s really rare because I rarely have bad days. People pretty much know who I am – I’m quirky and bubbly and that’s how people know me.
Who is your role model?
I would say my mom. I love that woman! I don’t have any celebrity role models or anything. My mom – she’s amazing, she’s hard-working. I get my work ethic from her. She’ll break herself into a million pieces for her family and I’m like that as well. We always want the best for everybody. She’s really someone to look up to.
